4. Brenden Jaimes

This player is less consequential than the other players on this list as Brenden Jaimes is just a backup offensive lineman for the Chargers. The hope is that the Bolts wouldn't even need to play him anyway. The starting offensive line is really talented and if it can stay healthy then the team could have one of the best lines in the entire sport.

That being said, it still is slightly disappointing that Jaimes has not been what the Chargers were hoping for. When he was drafted in 2021 he was pitched as a versatile depth offensive lineman that could develop nicely into someone who could threaten for a starting job. The starting job that Jamaree Salyer has was lined up for Jaimes when he was drafted.

Unfortunately, he has not impressed the team enough and this had led him to become a surprising cut candidate for the team during training camp. If Jaimes wants to keep his spot on the roster he is going to have to show big growth from year two to year three.

If Jaimes doesn't make the 53-man roster it will be indicative of what is shaping out to be a disappointing back half of the 2021 NFL Draft. The first two picks were fantastic, but the last few rounds have been all misses. If Joshua Palmer falls out of favor as well then the back end of that draft will look really bad.
