Chargers' all-time record against teams they play on the road in 2022:

Arizona Cardinals: 10-4, 3-3 on the road

Overall, the Chargers have been the better team in the head-to-head matchup against the Cardinals but most of the success has come at home with a 7-1 home record. When the Bolts travel to Arizona they are just 3-3.

The last time the Chargers played Arizona on the road was 2014, when they lost an 18-17 game on Monday Night Football. Classic Chargers.

Indianapolis Colts: 19-11, 12-4 on the road

The Chargers really seem to love playing in Indianapolis as they have had far more success on the road than at home against the Colts. The Bolts are .500 at home against the Colts with a 7-7 record and are a staggering 12-4 on the road against their AFC foes.

Despite this, the Chargers actually lost the last road matchup against the Colts, losing a 26-22 game in 2016. For those that remember, Hunter Henry fumbled on the Chargers' game-winning drive attempt in that game, once again losing in Chargers fashion.

San Francisco 49ers: 8-7, 3-4 on the road

The last time that the Chargers played the 49ers was back in 2018 when the Chargers pulled away with a narrow 29-27 victory. Overall, the Chargers have actually won five games in a row against the 49ers dating back to 2002 with two of those games being on the road.

The Chargers have not played the 49ers on the road since they became the Santa Clara 49ers. The Bolts are looking to extend their win streak regardless.

Houston Texans: 5-3, 3-1 on the road

We do not need to remind you of the last time that the LA Chargers played the Houston Texans. Houston hosted the Chargers in Week 16 last year and the Chargers dropped an insanely disappointing game that ultimately kept them out of the playoffs.

The Bolts were dealing with a lot of COVID-19 issues in that game but so were the Texans. The hope now is that the Chargers will be extra mad about that loss and will use that to go into Houston and do what they should have done last year and blow them out.

Cleveland Browns: 18-9-1, 9-5-1 on the road

The Cleveland Browns are another team that the Chargers are playing again from the 2021 season although the Bolts beat the Browns at home last season. This year could be different depending on if Deshaun Watson plays in this game.

The Chargers blew out the Browns 38-14 the last time that they played them in Cleveland during the 2018 season. And while the Bolts have been better overall, giving the 2016 Browns their only win of the season still stings.

Atlanta Falcons: 3-8, 2-2 on the road

The Chargers have really struggled against the Falcons historically but most of those struggles have come at home with a 1-6 home record. The Bolts beat the Falcons in LA in 2020, marking the first time Atlanta had ever lost on the road against the Chargers.

The Chargers did win their last road game against the Falcons back in 2016. The Chargers were down 30-20 with six minutes left and managed to send the game to overtime after Matt Bryant missed a game-tying 58-yard field goal.

The Chargers held the Falcons on fourth and one to get the ball in overtime and Josh Lambo drilled a game-winning 42-yard field goal.
