Best running backs the Chargers face: 1. Derrick Henry, TEN

The number one spot on this list has to go to one of the most dangerous running backs in the league, Derrick Henry. The former offensive player of the year came back from injury with a vengeance.

Rushing for over 1,500 yards for the third time in his career and 13 touchdowns on 4.4 yards per attempt. He also had career-best numbers in the passing game, recording 33 receptions and 398 receiving yards, almost doubling his previous career-best.

Henry may be one of the older starting running backs in the league but he still is constantly in the conversation for the best running back in the league. The last time the Chargers faced Henry was just last December.

The Chargers beat the Titans 17-14 with some late-game heroics but Henry still left his mark. The Titans running back ran 21 times for 104 yards and 1 touchdown while also fumbling once. In the receiving game, he had 4 receptions for 59 yards.

The Los Angeles Chargers run defense has a lot of room to grow from the previous seasons. Soon we will see how much this free agency period made a difference and if the Bolts will be able to shut down these great running backs this upcoming season.
