Best running backs the Chargers face: 3. Aaron Jones, GB

Aaron Rodgers may be gone, but his first-name counterpart is still in Green Bay to lead the backfield this upcoming season. Aaron Jones has played 6 seasons in the NFL and does not look like he is slowing down. With Jordan Love taking the reigns under center we may be seeing even more of Jones and AJ Dillon in 2023.

In 2022 Jones had his third 1,000+ yard season, with a career-high 1,121 yards on the ground. Jones produced this not only by sheer quantity but by quality, with the highest yards per carry by a back with 200+ rushes.

His lone game against the Chargers in 2019 was a dud, 8 carries for 30 yards and 1 reception for -1 yards. That was a long time ago though and he is expected to get even more touches this season, which will be a test to the Chargers run defense.

This matchup will be tough facing not only a skilled and accomplished veteran but also the number of run plays will likely run this game to force the Chargers to stop them as they did in the past.
