The 5 worst players that could make the Chargers roster in 2023
By Jason Reed
LA Chargers training camp is officially under way and so is the team's evaluation process. The Chargers are going to have to trim the roster from 90 players to 53 and this time it is all going to happen at once. In previous years, there were structured cuts that would narrow the list down as time went on.
While the obvious goal is to keep the 53 best players that camp has to offer, there naturally are going to be some disappointing members of the roster. The 53rd-best player on the roster is far from being as talented as the best player.
Even with all of training camp in the future, it is relatively straightforward to pinpoint which players will end up being the worst on the Chargers' roster in 2023.
The 5 worst players that could make the Chargers roster in 2023:
Easton Stick
The LA Chargers re-signed Easton Stick and it looks like the team is going to run with three quarterbacks yet again in 2023. This time, though, the third quarterback does not count as one of the active players that dress, so the Chargers have more of an excuse to carry three.
While Stick will get the preseason snaps over Max Duggan and will get the QB2 reps over him, it won't take long for the seventh-round pick to usurp Stick on the depth chart. Duggan himself isn't even that special but Stick has been pretty bad in the chances he has gotten with the Chargers.
The team brought him back because he seems to be close to Justin Herbert and it gives the quarterback room at least some familiarity from last season. If he were to ever actually have to go into a game it would be a nightmare for the Bolts.
