The LA Chargers are loaded with talent as they head into the 2022 season. On top of being loaded with talent, there are likely going to be players on the roster that make a leap to a new level in 2022 that give the Chargers even more reinforcements.

Last season there were two players who stand out that made the biggest leap — Nasir Adderley and Kyzir White. Some would say that Mike Williams made that leap as well but he already had a 1,000-yard season in 2018.

The Bolts will certainly have at least one player on the roster that makes a noticeable leap in 2022. However, there are multiple candidates and if the Chargers are lucky, more than one player will make that leap.

3 Chargers who are primed to make a big leap in 2022:

1. Joshua Palmer

If you are a frequent reader of Bolt Beat then you know that this summer is all about Joshua Palmer breakout season. Palmer is entering the second year of his NFL career and really turned it on for the Chargers at the end of the 2021 season. Palmer received immense praise during minicamp and it really does seem like he is poised for a big year.

The one caveat to Palmer having a huge season for the Chargers is the fact that he is going to be the WR3 at best next season and is still competing for targets with the likes of Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. While the Chargers throw the ball a lot, there are only so many passing attempts a team can make.

That being said, Palmer does not have to have an insane 1,000-yard season in order for him to make the leap. Even if he finishes with 600 yards, it is the way in which he gets those yards and how reliable he is that will dictate whether or not he makes that leap.

And quite frankly, we think it is almost a surefire thing that we will make the leap.
