The LA Chargers will be on the road for the second week in a row as the team takes the short flight to Sin City to take on the Las Vegas Raiders. The Bolts emerged victoriously in the first matchup between these two teams in Week 1 behind a dominant showing from Khalil Mack.

Much like in Week 1, this game is essentially a must-win for both parties. The Chargers need to continue stacking wins if they are going to be an AFC wild card team while the Raiders essentially need to win out in order to have any chance of making the playoffs.

Despite the record difference, these two teams are a lot closer than fans may think. Vegas actually ranks one spot ahead of LA in overall DVOA, making this a compelling matchup that should be extremely competitive and come down to the wire.

Chargers vs Raiders odds Week 13:

FanDuel Sportsbook has the Chargers as 1.5-point favorites on the road against the Raiders in Week 13. This makes the Chargers a -126 moneyline favorite while the Raiders are a +108 moneyline underdog.

The over/under for this game has been set at 50.5 points, signaling that oddsmakers think this will be a high-scoring game. It is the third-highest over/under of the entire week behind the Chiefs-Bengals and Lions-Jaguars.

Chargers vs Raiders prediction Week 13:

A big part of this game that is currently up in the air is Josh Jacobs' status. Jacobs likely is not going to practice this week and might not play against the Chargers. This would be a huge break for the Bolts but nothing is yet set in stone.

Without Jacobs, this should be a game where the Chargers can pull away from the Raiders offensively and secure the win. With Jacobs, the Raiders have a much better chance of winning and might actually be the pick to make at +1.5.

Based on what we know right now, I would lean towards picking Chargers -1.5. That line might increase to 3 if Jacobs does not play so -1.5 might be incredible value to get right now. Personally, though, I would stay away from the spread for now as there is a better opportunity.

That better opportunity is under 50.5 points. When these two teams played last they scored only a combined 43 points and it seems likely that this game will yield similar results. Even though both teams have bad defenses, the way this game will play out lends itself to the under.

The Chargers might be dealing with more offensive line issues in this game, hindering their ability to score a lot of points. Meanwhile, the Raiders are going to be looking to control the time of possession and keep the ball out of Justin Herbert's hands.

It might come down to the wire but I like the under in this game more than any other pick you could make.
