Denver Broncos defeat the Detroit Lions, 21-13

This has all the makings of being an ugly game and is probably going to be one of the worst of the Week 14 slate. The Denver Broncos enter this game as a double-digit favorite against the Lions, who beat the Minnesota Vikings in Week 13 for the team's first win of the season.

While the Broncos are not a very good team, the Lions are one of the worst teams in the league (they are probably more talented than Houston, to be fair) and the chances of them winning two games in a row are slim to none. If this game was in Detroit then maybe you could make the case for Detroit but in Denver, the Broncos should get the job done.

That being said, the Lions are the kings of staying close in games and a team like Denver is not going to pull away unless Jared Goff gifts them points on interceptions, which definitely is possible. Denver is a running team that is going to drain the clock and is not going to put a ton of points on the board.

Detroit has covered four weeks in a row and that trend continues based on this score prediction but they are still going to be playing from behind for this entire game. My prediction is that the Broncos jump out to a 14-0 lead in the first half and stall. The Lions will kick two field goals to make it a one-possession game before the Broncos score a second-half touchdown to make it 21-6.

The Lions will get a touchdown (hopefully via a Jamaal Williams run for my fantasy team) to get the backdoor cover and give themselves a chance to tie the game. Jared Goff will probably get the ball back with a chance to win and not much time remaining but will ultimately fall short, as they have all season.
