Full 7-round Chargers mock draft with Jim Harbaugh as head coach

Jim Harbaugh is officially the head coach of the LA Chargers and that is going to change how the rest of the offseason goes down. At the time of writing this, the Chargers still have not hired a GM but regardless of who it is, it will be someone who works in tandem with Harbaugh to build his version of the Chargers.
Harbaugh has already dropped clues about the fate of Keenan Allen and that is just the first of many seeds that will be planted. Harbaugh is not looking to come in and oversee a long, drawn-out rebuilding process. He wants the team to be good right away.
If the Chargers are going to be good right away then they need to hit a home run in the 2024 NFL Draft. Using Pro Football Network's mock draft simulator, we put together our first seven-round Chargers mock draft with Harbaugh now leading the way.
Chargers draft TE Brock Bowers with 5th overall pick
Personally, I have wide receiver Malik Nabers as the 1A draft target and Brock Bowers as the 1B draft target with the fifth pick. Either player would be a big difference maker and if Bolt Beat was running the Chargers, we would narrowly favor Nabers over Bowers.
That being said, Harbaugh is trying to build a more physical team that can win in the trenches and drafting a generational tight end like Bowers accomplishes that more than drafting Nabers. The Chargers still get the added benefit of adding a great pass-catching weapon, but also boost one of the worst areas of the roster.
Plus, the Chargers could draft a receiver for depth in the later rounds if Allen is coming back and the team is hopeful to get more out of Quinton Johnston. There is also a former Wolverine in Donovan Peoples-Jones who might be an excellent cheap depth signing for the team.
