The LA Chargers played with the season on the line in Week 8 as the team hosted the Chicago Bears on primetime. Los Angeles did exactly what it should do against a team of Chicago's caliber and walked away with a comfortable victory.

The hope is that this can be a catalyst for a Chargers team that desperately needs one. If the Bolts want any chance of making a playoff run late in the season then the team needs to pick up wins now. While there is still a lot of football left to play, the team's Week 9 showdown might be the most impotrant in acheiving this goal.

The Chargers are once again on primetime as the team will take on the New York Jets on the road on Monday Night Football. At 4-3, the Jets are one of the teams that the Chargers will directly be competing against for a playoff spot in the AFC. With a head-to-head tiebreaker on the line, this game could very well decide who the seventh seed in the AFC ends up being.

Here is everything you need to know.

Chargers vs Jets odds:

Despite being on the road, the Chargers are actually favored against Zach Wilson and the Jets. Los Angeles is a three-point favorite on the road against the Jets, making the team a -152 money line favorite. The Jets are a +128 money line underdog. The point total for the game has been set at 41.5 points.

Chargers vs Jets game time:

Kick-off for the Chargers and Jets is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. PT. It is important to note that this is 8:15 p.m. local time, so the Chargers will have an unusually long day ahead of them before kickoff. It is rare for the Bolts to kick-off at 8:15 p.m. local time being a West Coast team.

The time is also changing with the clocks falling back the day before this game, so the Chargers' circadian rhythm may really be thrown off.

How to watch Chargers-Jets:

As always, Monday Night Football will be broadcast on ESPN, although this year the games are also being broadcast on ABC as well. Unfortunately, unlike other TV providers, an ESPN+ subscription does not grant the access to stream the game live.
