The LA Chargers host the New England Patriots in Week 8 of the 2021 NFL season. The Chargers are coming off of a bye week and after an embarrassing loss to the Baltimore Ravens, are going to be looking to prove something.
The Patriots, meanwhile, can make a huge statement to the rest of the league by beating the Chargers.
It is definitely going to be one of the most interesting games in the Week 8 slate.
Chargers injury report vs Patriots Week 8
The LA Chargers only have two players who are questionable in this game and we already know that one of them should play barring any setbacks. Austin Ekeler confirmed to ESPN himself that he plans to play in Week 8 against the Patriots after being listed as questionable.
Drue Tranquill, meanwhile, it also listed as questionable with a pectoral injury. It is the same injury that held him out against the Patriots and it would be a massive loss if he does not play with the Patriots rushing attack.
Justin Jones is also coming off the injured reserve this week to hopefully give a boost to the run defense himself.

While it is not a popular thing to do, I picked against the Chargers earlier in the week and I am going to do it again. While I think the Chargers will win, the Patriots are a really well-coached football team with a quarterback who does not make a lot of mistakes and a rushing attack that should hurt the Bolts.
The Patriots will keep it close and it will come down to Justin Herbert scoring a game-winning touchdown down three late in the fourth quarter. I am taking Patriots +4.5 and over 49 points with a final score prediction of 27-24.
