The LA Chargers began what was expected to be an eventful offseason with a move that nobody saw coming. After signing Mike Williams to a three-year, $60 million contract, the Bolts agreed to trade a 2022 second-round pick and 2023 sixth-round pick to the Chicago Bears for Khalil Mack.

That is an absolute steal for the Chargers as Chicago was looking to get Mack's contract off the books. However, that does not make it a bad contract for the Chargers to absorb and despite any small concerns, this trade is nothing but upside for the Bolts.

Not only is adding Mack to the roster great for the Bolts, but just the act of making the trade was applauded by Charger fans. It is clear that Brandon Staley and Tom Telesco are going to be aggressive this offseason and in the future as the team looks to build a Super Bowl-winning team around Justin Herbert.

Staley and Telesco are not finished as they are going to utilize both free agency and the 2022 NFL Draft to continue to fill out the roster. If they really want to, the Bolts could continue to fill out the roster with Bears players.

There are 3 Bears free agents that make sense for the LA Chargers this offseason.

The Chargers obviously will not sign all three free agents but you can make a legitimate case for the Bolts signing each one of these Chicago free agents to come join Mack in LA.
