Most likely teams to draft Bijan Robinson before Chargers are on the clock
Tampa Bay Buccaneers, pick 19
Tampa Bay parting ways with Leonard Fournette led to the Buccaneers becoming a top contender for the Texas running back in the upcoming NFL draft.
Tampa Bay has numerous holes to fill that we may see them address with the 19th pick. The Bucs can look to take a quarterback or bolster their defense with a cornerback, which many experts have touched on over the past few weeks.
With Fournette gone though, there is room at the running back position for Tampa Bay to steal Robinson right out from under the Chargers' noses two picks before they have the chance to call his name.
The Bucs last year had the worst rushing game in the NFL with the least attempts, yards, touchdowns, and rushing yards per attempt. This was an adverse reaction to their passing game being the second-best in the league.
Without Tom Brady under center though, don't expect the offense to look the same. Similarly to Atlanta, Tampa Bay has an RB coming off of his rookie season looking to lead the way in Rachaad White. White did not have. a season like Allgeier did and although he showed glimpses of what he can do, the Bucs may very likely be looking to bring in the no. 1 rated RB in the draft if he falls to them at pick 19.
With Baker Mayfield relieving Brady in Tampa, the rushing attack will need a strong adjustment from last season. The Bucs very likely will look to turn their offense 180 degrees and rely on the run, and Robinson is just the guy to do it.
With the hype around him as large as it is, Robinson is arguably the most intriguing player in the draft in where he may go and the impact he is expected to make. The whole league will be waiting for his name to come off the board and the first 20 picks of the draft will be with held breath for the Chargers.
