5 possible steals the Chargers could make in the 2023 NFL Draft

4. Zack Kuntz on day three
If the LA Chargers do not land one of the premier tight ends in this draft class then Zack Kuntz late in the draft might end up being the next-best option. Kuntz has gained prominence during the draft process as a small-school prospect with an insane athletic profile.
In fact, Kuntz scored a perfect 10 out of 10 on the Relative Athletic Score. It is not hard to see why fans and pundits alike are fascinated by Kuntz and what he could turn into as a late-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Kuntz's athleticism could carry him higher in the draft into being a day two pick. It is not inconceivable for a team to take a chance on him with a compensatory pick in the third round, especially with how offensively-minded the league is in 2023.
The fourth round might be a bit too rich to take Kuntz with other needs (unless the team trades down and picks up another top-100 pick to utilize). But if he can somehow fall to the fifth or sixth round then it would be an absolute bargain for the Bolts.
Kuntz is one of the hardest players to evaluate in the entire draft class so it is tough to exactly pinpoint where he would be a huge steal at. Regardless, he would be an exciting pick on day three.
