3. Jayden Reed in round four

The Chargers surprisingly re-signed Jalen Guyton and that helped answer some of the questions fans had about the receiver room. Guyton adds speed that was not present in the receiver room and also gives the team its fourth NFL-caliber wide receiver.

Los Angeles is definitely going to add more depth in the 2023 NFL Draft as the room will have to be at least five deep. Without a third-string quarterback taking up a roster spot, there is a larger chance that the Chargers go the more conventional route of including a sixth receiver as well.

How the team attacks adding two more receivers is unclear but one thing is for certain: Tom Telesco needs to replace DeAndre Carter's presence in the return game. Los Angeles does not have a viable kick or punt returner on the roster and should be combing through the draft to find one.

Of the available options, Jayden Reed might be the most exciting. Reed could instantly be a contributor on special teams while also adding more game speed than Guyton even has to the offense. It would be the best of both worlds for the Bolts.

It is conceivable that Reed falls to the Chargers in round four of the 2023 NFL Draft but it also would not be totally shocking to see the Chargers "reach" for him in round three if Spears is not there. That is how well he would fit into this roster.
