2. The Chargers are guaranteed to use another top-100 pick on an offensive playmaker

The Chargers currently have three picks in the top 100 of the 2023 NFL Draft. It seems like a guarantee that the team will use at least two of those picks on an offensive playmaker. One will be a wide receiver, as we already mentioned, and the other will be used on one of two positions.

The two positions at hand are tight end and running back. There is ongoing debate about which position the Chargers should prioritize more. If a freak like Bijan Robinson falls to 21 then that might be too good for the Chargers to pass up. However, this tight end class is strangely top-loaded, which could prompt the Bolts to take a tight end early.

Both positions should be selected at some point in the 2023 NFL Draft as the team needs to prepare for the future of both areas while also adding depth this year. However, it seems unlikely that the Bolts will use all three top 100 picks on offensive players.

That is, unless the team moves down in the 2023 NFL Draft and picks up an extra top 100 pick. In that instance, the Chargers are more likely to take a wide receiver, running back and tight end all in the top 100 as they will have at least four picks in the top 100.

As it stands right now, though, the only guarantee we can make is that one of the other two top-100 picks will be used on either a tight end or running back depending how the draft shakes out.
