The LA Chargers play the Denver Broncos for the first time this season as they head to Denver in Week 12. While the Chargers and Broncos are only separated by one game, there is a much different feeling about the Chargers as their wins have come against much tougher opponents.

Meanwhile, while the Broncos did beat the Dallas Cowboys in a shocking outcome, their other four wins are not as impressive. Denver has beaten the Giants, Jaguars, Jets and Washington Football Team as their other four wins.

The Chargers and the Broncos have had seven common opponents thus far this season. Both teams beat Washington and lost to Baltimore. The Broncos beat the Cowboys while the Chargers lost to the Cowboys. However, the Chargers beat the Raiders, Steelers, Eagles and Browns; all teams that Denver lost to.

It is a compelling game in terms of NFL betting and is one that is going to tell us a lot about both teams.

Chargers vs Broncos odds Week 12:

According to WynnBET, the LA Chargers are currently 2.5-point favorites on the road against the Denver Broncos. The Chargers are a -145 moneyline favorite while the Broncos are a +125 moneyline underdog. The over/under for the game has been set at 47 points.

The rule of thumb is typically that a home team gets three points for the spread. By that logic, Vegas thinks the Chargers are 5.5 points better than the Broncos, which still feels a bit small. Both teams are 5-5 against the spread this season.

Chargers vs Broncos prediction Week 12:

I gave away the pick a bit by saying that the line feels a bit small as the LA Chargers are a much better football team than the Denver Broncos. I get that this is in Denver and that they shocked the Cowboys but they are not a football team that should be able to keep up with the Chargers.

I'm throwing the Dallas game out of the window. Nothing else the Broncos have shown us indicates that they are that great of a football team. The defense can be picked apart by Justin Herbert and I just don't see Teddy Bridgewater being able to keep up.

The one area of concern is Denver's great rushing attack and the Chargers run defense. However, the Chargers have been much better against the run over the last two weeks and probably learned that they should be playing Jerry Tillery less as they had their best showing when he was out of action.

This line is so small that it is impossible to pick against the Bolts. If it was a 3.5-point line there would be some hesitation, but 2.5 is a number that you cannot pass up. You should go bet it on WynnBET before it moves.

MUST-READ: 3 things the LA Chargers need to clean up after Week 11

I am going with Chargers -2.5 and over 47 points. The final score will be Chargers 30, Denver 20, with the Broncos only making it look that close in garbage time.
