For the first time since both teams made big offseason moves, the LA Chargers and Denver Broncos will square off and will do so on the biggest stage. The Bolts host the Broncos on Monday Night Football when everyone in America is sick of seeing the Broncos in primetime.

Russell Wilson and the Broncos simply have not been great this season as they currently sit with an unimpressive 2-3 record. As bad as it has been for Wilson and the Broncos, the Chargers cannot overlook them as a divisional opponent that has the rest advantage in this game.

That being said, most people view the Chargers as the better team, even with all of the hurdles that the team has had to overcome this season. Vegas certainly thinks they are the better team as well, as the Chargers are currently one of the biggest favorites in all of Week 6.

Chargers vs Broncos odds for Week 6 Monday Night Football:

FanDuel Sportsbook currently has the Chargers as a 5.5-point favorite in this game, which is actually lower than what the team initially opened as. The Bolts were originally six-point favorites but early action moved the line by half a point in the Broncos' favor.

As a result, the Chargers are a -230 money line favorite while the Broncos are a +190 money line underdog. There is slightly more juice on the Broncos' side of the spread, with the +5.5 odds being at -112 while Chargers -5.5 is at -108.

Vegas does not believe in these teams' ability to score the football as the over/under for the game has been set at 45.5 points.

Chargers vs Broncos prediction for Week 6 Monday Night Football:

As much as I would love to pick the Chargers every game, I have to go with Broncos +5.5 in this game. That is not to say that Denver is going to win this game, but it is a divisional game and these divisional games are always almost close.

It would be more surprising if the Chargers wound up winning by two or more scores, regardless of how bad it has looked for Denver. The Chargers could end up winning by seven, which would cover the spread, but I would take my chances with this being a five-point game or less.

As far as the over/under goes, I do favor the under. Denver has an average run defense with a good defense overall. It will be interesting to see how the Chargers can get the run going against a defense that isn't one of the worst in the league. Meanwhile, Denver is going to be able to stick Pat Surtain on Mike Williams and give him fits.

We still don't know if Keenan Allen is going to play in this game and that would change things but not enough to swing either bet. I am going with Broncos +5.5 and under 45.5 points, with a final score of 20-16, Chargers.
