The AFC West continues to be the wildest division in the NFL this offseason but instead of an AFC West team getting better with a massive move, a team just got significantly worse. The Kansas City Chiefs were unable to come to terms on a new extension with Tyreek Hill and traded him to the Miami Dolphins.

While the Chiefs got a slew of draft capital in return, this is undoubtedly a massive loss for the team. Hill is without a doubt a top-five wide receiver in the league and now the Chiefs are really lacking at the wide receiver position.

The AFC West is about to be wild in 2022. The LA Chargers have made huge additions and have a potential MVP favorite in Justin Herbert. The Denver Broncos fixed their quarterback issues with one of the best in the league, Russell Wilson. Las Vegas added two big names to offense and defense, signing Chandler Jones and trading for Davante Adams.

Where do the LA Chargers fall on the AFC West pecking order after the Tyreek Hill trade?

There are still some free-agent decisions that need to be made (Tyrann Mathieu being the biggest) as well as the 2022 NFL Draft. The AFC West power rankings will change from now to the start of the season.

However, with this Hill trade being such a massive deal that shakes up the foundation of the division and the entire conference, we thought it was fitting to bring you our AFC West power rankings with Tyreek Hill no longer in Kansas City.
