2. Bryce Callahan
This is perhaps the most surprising player on the list as Bryce Callahan had a really good season for the LA Chargers in 2022. Callahan was signed to a one-year flier after the 2022 NFL Draft as the Bolts did not draft a starting-caliber slot corner.
That role was Callahan's for the taking and he did great in the slot. He was by no means perfect but he absolutely played better than most pundits expected and seemingly earned a new contract in the process. After all, there was already an established foundation there for Callahan.
The only reason why Callahan was a flier to begin with was because of injuries he suffered in Denver that hurt his play. Once he was healthy with the Bolts he proved that he could contribute to an NFL defense, even if it was just in a rotational role.
At 31 years old, it seems unlikely that Callahan would outright be out of the league after the season he put together for the Chargers. If J.C. Jackson's injury was more serious he would be a no-brainer to bring back but with Jackson's recovery coming along nicely, the Chargers may simply not have room for Callahan.
It is still strange that another team hasn't jumped on Callahan as a savvy veteran signing that at the very least adds depth. Perhaps he goes to the Miami Dolphins to reunite with Vic Fangio.
