Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers will try to salvage their season on Sunday against the lowly New England Patriots. The Chargers have found multiple ways to lose games this season despite having a talented roster.

They will hopefully change their fortunes and the narrative around their season in a must-win vs. the Patriots, who are on pace to have a top-5 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Chargers vs. Patriots in Week 13

  • Rhamondre Stevenson OVER 61.5 rushing yards (-115)
  • Austin Ekeler OVER 31.5 receiving yards (-110)

Rhamondre Stevenson OVER 61.5 rushing yards (-115)

For the Patriots to make the game easy for whoever is starting at quarterback, they’ll need to give Stevenson 20-25 touches on Sunday. The 25-year-old running back has been outstanding over the last three games, averaging 91 yards on 16.7 carries per game.

In last week’s game against the Giants, Stevenson recorded 98 yards (season-high) and a touchdown on 21 carries. He will face a Chargers defense that’s only allowing 110.6 rushing yards per game this season.

However, Los Angeles got demolished by the Ravens last week, who had 197 rushing yards. I don’t expect New England’s offense to have that many rushing yards, but they should find some success with Stevenson and Ezekiel Elliott on the ground.

Austin Ekeler OVER 31.5 receiving yards (-110)

Speaking of the Chargers’ passing game, they will look for Ekeler to make his impact felt early and often on Sunday. The versatile running back has had a down year, which is the perfect way to describe this season for Los Angeles.

However, we all know the veteran running back can change a game with one play. This season, Ekeler has gone OVER 31.5 receiving yards in five out of eight games. In last week’s loss to the Ravens, the 28-year-old running back had five receptions (six targets) for 32 yards.

If Ekeler can be successful against Baltimore’s defense, he should get at least 32 yards vs. the Patriots. The Patriots are ranked 29th in DVOA-RB and allow 32.5 receiving yards per game to the position, per ftnfantasy.com.
