AFC West cornerbacks ranked from worst to best in 2023

2. Kansas City Chiefs
- Trent McDuffie, L'Jarius Sneed, Jaylen Watson, Joshua Williams, Nic Jones, Dicaprio Bootle
This does not contribute to the quality of the room on this ranking but the Kansas City Chiefs have the best cornerback name in the entire division in Dicaprio Bootle. Now that is a name that we can hear Jim Nance yelling if he were to pick off a quarterback.
On the surface, the Chiefs' cornerback room may not seem as promising as the Chargers' cornerback room. Of course, Chargers fans are going to relate to the players they are more familiar with rather than the guys who are in Kansas City.
The ceiling of the Chargers is certainly higher, without a doubt. However, the Chiefs have a higher floor and have fewer what-ifs that they have to worry about. Just off the bat, the pairing of Trent McDuffie and L'Jarius Sneed is one of the most underrated in the entire league.
McDuffie was really good in his rookie season and if we assume that Samuel is going to improve then we have to assume that McDuffie will as well. Sneed, like Michael Davis, is one of the most underrated corners in the league as he was a legitimate difference-maker last season.
The rest of the room has more depth, or at least has been used in a better manner than the depth in LA has been used.
