Chargers mock draft, pick 200: Jordan McFadden, OL, Clemson

The Chargers should be drafting an offensive lineman for depth in every single draft and that is what the team is doing here with Jordan McFadden. McFadden is a solid pick for the Chargers this late in the draft because of his ability to wear multiple hats.

McFadden has collegiate experience at both tackles and is expected to potentially move to guard at the NFL level because of his size. Similarly to Jamaree Salyer last year, McFadden is someone who has succeeded at a prominent program that falls in the draft because he might be perceived as a guard.

Saying that McFadden will be as polished as Salyer was right away is a bit rich but it is better for the Chargers to add depth this way rather than signing old, regressing offensive linemen.

Chargers mock draft, pick 239: Dee Winters, LB, TCU

The Chargers probably should draft a linebacker at some point in the 2023 NFL Draft to at least fill out some depth at the position. If all goes well in 2023, the Bolts will not need Dee Winters to play on the defensive side of the ball.

Instead, Winters would be an asset for the Chargers to utilize on special teams and Winters' skillset should translate nicely in that regard. In the best-case scenario, the TCU linebacker would blossom into someone who could start on defense in years two and beyond.
