The LA Chargers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers square off in a Week 15 game that is important for both sides. The Chargers can all but guarantee a trip to the NFL Playoffs with a win while the Bucs need a victory to stay in the hunt for the NFC South crown.
This also has all the makings of being an entertaining game for NFL fans. Both the Chargers and Bucs are known for playing chaotic games and it is impossible to predict what will happen when the two enigmatic forces combine.
With big names on the injury report for both sides, health very well could be the tiebreaker that decides the outcome of this game.
Chargers inactives vs. Buccaneers:
Position | Player |
---|---|
TE | Will Dissly |
WR | Jalen Reagor |
LB | Denzel Perryman |
DL | Justin Eboigbe |
OL | Brenden Jaimes |
OL | Jordan McFadden |
QB | Easton Stick |
Tight end Will Dissly and wide receiver Jalen Reagor are the only players who were ruled out of the game on the final Chargers injury report of the week. Reagor's absence is not all that important while the Chargers hope Stone Smartt can continue his strong play in Dissly's absence.
Wide receiver Ladd McConkey is active for the Chargers after missing last week against the Kansas City Chiefs. McConkey is dealing with a knee and shoulder injury but is good enough to suit up against the Bucs.
Linebacker Denzel Perryman continues to sit out due to injury. Perryman last played on November 17 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Thankfully, rookie Junior Colson is back in the fold to play alongside standout sophomore Daiyan Henley.
Buccaneers inactives vs Chargers:
Position | Player |
---|---|
S | Antoine Winfield Jr. |
TE | Devin Culp |
OLB | Jose Ramirez |
LB | K.J. Britt |
S | Mike Edwards |
G | Royce Newman |
DL | Earnest Brown |
The Buccaneers have more players who were ruled out in the final injury report of the week so the official inactives list shouldn't be much different. The biggest loss here is Antoine Winfield Jr, who was an All-Pro last season and is one of the lone highlights in what is a bad Tampa Bay secondary.
Running back Bucky Irving is the biggest name who was given a questionable tag leading into Sunday. However, all signs are pointing to Irving playing barring a last-minute setback before the game.
Mike Evans and Tristan Wirfs were both taken off the injury report after missing practice earlier in the week. Both star players will play for the Buccaneers on Sunday.
