One of the biggest holes to fill on the Los Angeles Chargers roster is the interior offensive line. The fans' consistent outcry during the regular season and playoffs holds immense weight, as the Chargers' OL was historically bad.

So bad, in fact, they cost OL coach Mike Delvin his job.

With the Chargers' season over after another Wild Card loss, now is the time to address that glaring need. LA can fix the glaring issue during free agency, but there are some possible answers in the 2026 NFL Draft.

One of those answers could be the Oregon Ducks' Emmanuel Pregnon, who has been selected by the Chargers in a slew of mock drafts.

Chargers are no strangers to Oregon Pipeline

If you take a look across the roster, there are a plethora of former Ducks on the Chargers. Justin Herbert, Troy Dye, Nikko Reed, and Jamaree Caldwell were all on the active roster this year, and all played at Oregon. Running back Royce Freeman even had a stint on the practice squad.

If the Bolts pick Pregnon, they would be adding another talented contributor from the Ducks. The 6-foot-5, 318-pounder has the size and talent of an NFL offensive lineman. This exact scenario plays out in one of Thomas Martinez of Sports Illustrated seven round mock drafts, among others.

According to Pro Football Focus, Pregnon was highly efficient for the Ducks. He didn't allow a single sack, only allowed a single hit and three pressures. That sounds like the type of guy the Chargers need for Justin Herbert after this season.

ESPN's Mel Kiper has Pregnon ranked as the No. 3 interior offensive lineman in the draft, behind Penn State's Olaivavega Ioane and Auburn's Connor Lew. So, if the Chargers decide they are selecting a guard, and the other two prospects are gone, Pregnon could prove to be a valuable selection.
