The wait is finally over. After a month of waiting, the LA Chargers have officially unveiled the two new alternate uniforms the team will be wearing in 2025 and beyond.
To say Chargers fans are excited is an understatement. The Chargers have gone back to their roots with an all-navy colorway that is reminiscent of the mid-2000s. Best of all, it comes with the navy helmet that fans have yearned for.

There is an unexpected twist, though. Chargers fans knew that the team was going to unveil two new alternate uniforms but did not expect the Bolts to roll out an all-yellow colorway. The all-yellow uniforms are not getting the same universal praise that the all-navy uniforms are getting, but it definitely has its audience.
Chargers uniform release comes with another unexpected twist
The all-yellow uniform combination is not the only twist to the uniform release. The Chargers unveiled the entire uniform set with the new alternates in the mix that will give the team more freedom in 2025.
Powder blue pants are now a part of the team's uniform cycle. This means the Chargers can wear all-powder blue uniforms, which was not the case before. In the last five years, the Chargers would only wear white or yellow pants with the powder blues.
This is also the case with the white uniforms. In addition to the all-white and white with yellow pants, the Chargers can also wear the powder blue pants with the white top. This is a new look Chargers fans have not seen over the last five years.
This is the first time ever the Chargers have worn powder blue pants, per the team's press release.
Two uniform combinations have officially been sent off into the sunset with these new alternates. The old all-navy uniforms, which the Chargers were winless in, are no longer in rotation. Neither are the royal blue uniforms that were inspired by the team's previous color rush uniform. The Chargers didn't even wear those uniforms last season.
If all this wasn't good enough there is one wrinkle that makes it even more exciting for Chargers fans. The univerally loved all-navy uniforms have a very special name: Super Chargers. It's not just the name, either. Super Chargers is stiched in white on the collar.
The Chargers already have the best uniforms in football and they got even better on Tuesday, even if the all-yellow colorway isn't quite as beloved.
