The LA Chargers have done a good job at addressing various roster holes this offseason even if the team hasn't made a big-time signing. Whether or not this is a successful offseason for the Bolts will be determined by whether or not the fliers on the team pan out.
The Chargers aren't definitely aren't done as the team has the cap space to make more signings this offseason. There are several positions that could use more depth and the Bolts are likely waiting to see what areas need to be addressed after the 2025 NFL Draft.
General manager Joe Hortiz may also get some input from those in the locker room as well. Veteran safety Tony Jefferson, who recently re-signed with the Chargers, said that he would put his recruiter hat on and touch base with Calais Campbell.

Chargers' Tony Jefferson says he will recruit Calais Campbell
Jefferson and Campbell spent time together with the Baltimore Ravens, which also gives Campbell a connection to this Chargers' front office. Campbell spent three seasons in Baltimore, playing there from 2020 through 2022.
Campbell is one of the oldest players in the league as he will be 39 by Week 1 of the 2025 season. He is still productive, however, recording five or more sacks each each of the last three seasons.
From 2014 through 2020, Campbell was named a Pro Bowler six times, was a First-Team All-Pro once and was a Second-Team All-Pro twice. He was one of the most dominating defensive linemen in the sport in that span and still has juice all these years later.
Campbell would legitimately improve this Chargers defense as he could line up in a variety of alignments on the defensive line. The veteran defensive lineman would bolster the interior defensive line, giving the Chargers a run-stuffing presence that is still dominant as his age.
Campbell is no slouch in rushing the passer, either. He is not someone who will play every down because of his age but he can pick his spots and make a big difference. He is an overqualified rotational player who would produce in his role.
Chargers fans should hope Jefferson is being serious. While he alone isn't going to decide where Campbell goes, hopefully he can lay the groundwork for the veteran defensive lineman to rejoin him in LA.
There is nothing wrong with adding one of the most decorated defensive players still in the league on a one-year flier deal. Campbell would be a positive addition to the Chargers' defense and would be well worth the price.
