The Los Angeles Chargers play the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football, and things have all of a sudden gotten urgent at a key position. The Chargers seek to start 2-0 and really take a solid lead in the AFC West with a win against the Raiders on MNF.
However, one thing that has stayed with the Bolts for years now is their injuries - it seems like this team has the injury bug every single season, and that has unfortunately been the case for 2025. Left tackle Rashawn Slater is out for the year, and Denzel Perryman is now on IR.
Well, just hours before the game, the Chargers got even more injury-related news, but in a slightly different way...
Daiyan Henley is now questionable tonight against the Las Vegas Raiders
Daiyan Henley has an illness and is now questionable for Monday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders:
Chargers have added LB Daiyan Henley to the injury report with an illness. He is questionable to play tonight vs Raiders.

This is honestly the last position that the Chargers needed to see suffer another ailment. One of the main concerns with this matchup now is running back Ashton Jeanty. The Raiders used their 2025 first-round pick on Jeanty, and he projects to be a top-tier running back in the NFL.
Jeanty did average just two yards per carry in his first NFL game, but Week 2 is unfortunately shaping up to be a potential breakout party for the running back. If Henley can't go, the next men up would be Marlowe Wax and Troy Dye. Wax was a preseason standout, and all of a sudden, he has a massive test in front of him.
Only time will tell if Henley will get himself on the field, but if not, the Raiders have a clear plan of attack. If they are able to run the ball efficiently with Jeanty and with the absences of Perryman and Henley, the passing attack is going to take off, and if nothing else, Geno Smith can throw the ball all over the field.
