The Los Angeles Chargers have to get their offensive line sorted out for 2025, and an intriguing option could be a chance worth taking. With left tackle Rashawn Slater out for the year, the Chargers' already shaky offensive line took a massive hit.
Right now, Joe Alt will be the LT, and Trey Pipkins slides into right tackle. The main thing that was holding this OL together was the elite tackle duo of Slater and Alt, but it's going to have to wait until 2026.
If you ask me, since the tackle situation got weaker, the Chargers should focus more on improving their interior offensive line before the season begins, as that could be the one thing that stabilizes this unit. Well, a former first-round pick who failed at tackle might be an interesting reclamation project at guard. It's a chance worth taking.
Evan Neal needs a fresh start, and the LA Chargers could be a perfect fit
Picked with the seventh selection in the 2022 NFL Draft, Evan Neal has been a bust in every sense of the word, and the New York Giants are now trying him inside at guard, but in their final preseason game, a win against the Patriots, it simply didn't go well:

When you think about it, Evan Neal might just need a fresh start. He was a first-round pick for a reason and is only turning 25 years old in September. While the Chargers could go out and address the OL in free agency, acquiring Neal would make a lot of sense.
At best, the Chargers might be able to get some high-end depth with Neal, but a change of scenery could end up benefiting him as well. LA's interior might truly be the worst in the NFL, so it's worth taking swings on players until that trio gets figured out for good.
