Joey Bosa became all too familiar with heartbreak during his nine-year tenure with the LA Chargers. Unfortunately for the former Ohio State star, heartbreak has followed him to another tortured franchise, the Buffalo Bills.

Bosa and the Bills couldn't get past the Denver Broncos in the AFC Divisional Round in a playoff bracket that felt wide open. If there was ever a year for Josh Allen to get his ring it was this year, making the loss even more painful for Bills fans.

Bosa felt all the emotions after losing to his former AFC West rival. Cameras captured Bosa's walk up the tunnel to the locker room, which included an outburst that Chargers fans have seen before.

Bills fans got a taste of the Joey Bosa Chargers fans know all too well

Bosa wasn't the best at containing his emotions in high-stress games. Back in 2022, Bosa was flagged for throwing his helmet on the field after a Jacksonville Jaguars touchdown. This set the Jags up to go for two, which ended up being consequential in the infamous blown playoff lead.

There is more commonalities from that game other than the helmet throw. Bosa didn't play great in that Jacksonville game and that was the case on Saturday as well. The multiple-time Pro Bowl edge rusher didn't make a difference against the Broncos, which was often the case in the playoffs with the Chargers.

It wasn't just that Bosa had a non-impactful game against the Bills, he actually made a key mistake that would have cost Buffalo the game if other factors hadn't saved his tail. Bosa committed an absolutely pointless roughing the passer where he shoved Bo Nix well after the play on the Broncos' game-winning drive.

That mistake was overshadowed by a pass interference call on the same play, and another pass interference call later in the drive. But if it wasn't for those, Bosa's pointless shove would have been the conversation of national media.

Bosa signed with Buffalo after being released by the Chargers in pursuit of a Super Bowl title. And to his credit, he did get one game further than the Chargers did this season. But after this showing for the Bills, Bosa may need to find another new team to try and win a Super Bowl.

That new team, if Bosa does leave, should worry about a similar playoff outburst. History tends to repeat itself, after all.
