The Los Angeles Chargers' offense looked like a fully capable unit for the first time in weeks on Sunday. Led by a miraculous Justin Herbert performance, the Bolts scored 34 points with 452 yards and 24 first downs to put themselves in a prime position to make the NFL Playoffs.

In the process, they took full advantage of a laughably weak Cowboys passing defense, and former Charger fan-favorite Breiden Fehoko pointed out one hilarious fact about their approach to doing so:

Although he saw limited playing time with the Chargers, Feihoko endeared himself to the fanbase during his time with the team between 2020 and 2022. Kenneth Murray's tenure on the Chargers yielded opposite results.

Murray has been a weak link on one of the worst defenses in the NFL this season. By pointing out exactly how heavily Los Angeles was targeting his area of the field, Feihoko issued a poignant reminder of why the Chargers let Murray walk in the first place.

Chargers' game plan perfectly capitalized upon Cowboys' greatest weakness

Heading into the game today, the Cowboys had the second-worst passing offense in the league by total yards. For a Chargers offense that had continued to struggle recently despite their major victories, this matchup represented an opportunity to get back on track.

Needless to say, they accomplished that goal.

Not only were they able to establish the run game, but they burnt Dallas's defense both in the middle of the field and down the sidelines. They went 7-for-11 on third down and dominated the time of possession.

The Cowboys' linebacker group looked especially atrocious, failing to run fit and getting exposed in coverage throughout the course of the game. DeMarvion Overshown has missed most of the season, and their trade deadline acquisition of Logan Wilson has yet to truly pay dividends.

While it's somewhat unfair to target Murray in this regard, much of Los Angeles's game plan ran straight through the middle of the field to capitalize upon the decline he's seen in his coverage abilities. According to Pro Football Focus, Murray has been among the least effective linebackers in the league this season. His overall grade is the third-worst out of all players at his position.

While Feihoko's estimate might represent a slight exaggeration, it's clear that the Chargers identified Murray as a weak link and tailored their game plan accordingly. It paid off, and now the team has earned another pivotal victory.
