Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports – LA Chargers

This offseason has presented a fundamental change to the LA Chargers. The Chargers completely wiped out the old coaching staff, except for defensive line coach Giff Smith, and brought in a brand-new staff that is led by first-year head coach, Brandon Staley.

While we truly will not know how good Staley is as a head coach until the team is in action, his resume as a coach throughout the league is extremely impressive and he truly does seem to have a vast football mind.

The team still has to prove it and reach their potential under Staley before we fully buy-in on the first-year coach. Things are looking great on paper here in June, but every June we sit here as fans looking at the bright spots and ignoring potential concerns.

As far as the LA Chargers roster is concerned, there are some positions to be worried about.

This is not to say that certain positions are doomed to fail next season, but fielding a roster that does not have a single weakness is nearly impossible to do. And while injuries and underperformance could create new weaknesses, there are three current positions that are currently concerning for the 2021 season.

The beauty of the game is that the Chargers can go into action and prove these concerns wrong with strong play. However, until we see it, it is justified to be concerned about three position groups, in particular, of falling behind the rest in the 2021 season.

In no particular order, here are the three most concerning positions on the LA Chargers roster as it stands today.
