3. The LA Chargers stay away from strong personalities and potential locker room divas

I do not know Julio Jones and I do not know everything that is going on behind the scenes. This is in no way an assumption of who he is and his character in the locker room. However, it is safe to say that Telesco likely does not approve of how this has gone down in the public.

Jones and the Falcons have a bad relationship and that is typically a two-way street at least to some degree. Again, we do not know what happened behind closed doors, but Jones certainly has not done much to help the situation.

Going on ‘Undisputed’ and confirming that he is leaving Atlanta and also publically bashing the Dallas Cowboys is an odd move. Some argue that he did not know he was on TV, there is no way that it true. Shannon Sharpe is smarter than that and we would have heard the backlash from Jones’ camp afterward.

There are reports saying that Jones did not know but that could all be intentional information leaked. Only Jones and Sharpe know what truly happened.

Telesco really values character in the locker room and he is not the type to willingly trade away assets for someone who is taking a private conversation into the public light. Just look at Desmond King. They shipped him off as soon as they could because of how that situation was unfolding.

Jones is far from being Antonio Brown, but Telesco likely views how that trade went down as a cautionary tale.

This is a team with a young quarterback and young head coach that is looking to build something from the ground up. And while I personally do not view it as a big issue, I know that Tom Telesco likely is.
