LA Chargers Super Bowl pillar 3: A great head coach

This is the one pillar that is still unproven for the LA Chargers. While Brandon Staley has a great resume and is saying all the right things thus far, we truly cannot call him a great head coach until we actually see him in action.

I know, I am being a bummer and many people are already penciling him in to be a great head coach. While I think he definitely will be better than Anthony Lynn, there is no guarantee that he is great, especially right away.

That obviously does not mean it is impossible, especially with Staley’s resume. If Staley is as good of a head coach as Charger fans are hoping for then the Chargers will officially have all three pillars. That does not mean they will make the Super Bowl, but it could officially open a legitimate Super Bowl window.

They have not had one of those since the mid-2000s. How exciting.

Bruce Arians is a respected head coach, Andy Reid is obviously great, Bill Belichick is the greatest of all time, Sean McVay has never had a losing season and Doug Pederson, although it flamed out, was really good in that Super Bowl-winning year.

Not many people have the guts to call the Philly Special and he did.

The LA Chargers are one pillar away from potentially having a legitimately Super Bowl window and the fans are feeling great about that pillar coming true.
