The 2021 NFL Draft is just three days away and the excitement is building for the LA Chargers. With a new head coach and franchise quarterback, the Chargers could do special things if they hit a home run in this draft.

It won’t happen right away, but knocking this draft out of the park could be the start of a potential Super Bowl-caliber roster. The Chargers definitely have the quarterback for it.

There have been plenty of debates in draft season about what the Chargers will do with the 13th overall pick. Will they take a tackle? Corner? Will they move up, move down, or stay put? How will it impact the rest of the draft?

The reality is that the Chargers’ decision is mostly going to be influenced by what happens in the 12 picks before the Chargers are on the clock.

Here are my final predictions for the first 12 picks and you can decide what the Chargers should do at 13.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson

I laugh reading all the different mock drafts that try and find new and creative ways to predict Trevor Lawrence to the Jaguars. Does the sun rise in the morning? Is water wet? Do the LA Chargers have the best uniforms in football? Will Trevor Lawrence be a Jaguar?

2. New York Jets: Zach Wilson, QB, BYU

This also seems to be a foregone conclusion and Zach Wilson should be a solid NFL quarterback. He is not my QB2 but he has a lot of exciting traits that can create a great quarterback. To be great in the NFL you have to have elite traits and Wilson has that.

But can we trust the New York Jets to properly develop him into what he truly can be? That is a completely different question.
