There are several players from the LA Chargers last season that are still without a team for the 2021 season. Both Casey Hayward and Trai Turner were cut from the Chargers as cap casualties and neither has found a home for the 2021 season.

Hayward was very bad for the Chargers last season but still has value in the right defense. Hayward was never going to fit in Brandon Staley’s offense but he could still be a valuable asset to a young secondary that needs veteran depth.

That is exactly what led to Patrick Peterson getting a deal from the Minnesota Vikings, so there is still some kind of market out there for Hayward.

Turner has some value as well. While injuries got in his way in 2020 and he was not good when he did play, he does have value as a flier for a team that needs offensive line help. He was never worth his 2021 salary, hence why he was cut, but he is worth the risk for a team that needs depth.

Melvin Ingram is the most prominent Chargers free agent that remains unsigned. Personally, I think there is reason to believe that Ingram will find his way back to the Chargers.

There are some former LA Chargers players who are available as well.

There are some familiar faces that are surprisingly still on the market and who knows, perhaps the Chargers could look to sign a former player if they fit a specific need.

This article is more about highlighting these players who are surprisingly still on the market. This is not about them being great fits on the LA Chargers.

Here are three former Bolts who are surprisingly still on the market that we hope get signed soon.
