The LA Chargers have made a handful of signings in free agency thus far, most of which have been to the offensive side of the ball. Tom Telesco has completely rebuilt the offensive line with the signings of Corey Linsley, Oday Aboushi and Matt Feiler as well as brought in a Hunter Henry replacement in Jared Cook.

The team has not been as active on the defensive side of the ball. Re-signing Michael Davis was a massive win for the team but the only defensive player that has been brought in is a rotational edge rusher, Kyler Fackrell.

The Chargers have lost quite a bit on the defensive side as well. The team cut Casey Hayward, lost Rayshawn Jenkins and is likely losing Melvin Ingram as well. Isaac Rochelle also signed with the Indianapolis Colts.

If anything, maybe we have learned that the LA Chargers value offense in NFL free agency

The LA Chargers hired a defensive-minded head coach in Brandon Staley and it appears that the M-O, at least this offseason, is to focus on Justin Herbert and the offensive side of the ball first and foremost. That leaves Staley to have his say on players in the 2021 NFL Draft as he builds something that is closer to his vision.

That does not mean that the Chargers won’t sign any more defensive free agents, but based on who is left, don’t be surprised if the next Chargers free agency signing is that of the offensive variety.

Here are three offensive free agents that could still be signed and add something to the LA Chargers.
