LA Chargers: Exciting offensive sleepers to pick in the seventh round
By Jason Reed
1. Tony Poljan
The LA Chargers add another monster tight end to the mix
The LA Chargers already have one monster tight end in Donald Parham. Chicken Parm, as he is referred to, has become a fan-favorite for Charger fans because of his size and his abilities as a target in the red zone.
The Bolts could get another huge tight end in the 2021 NFL Draft, although Parham would still be the tallest player on the offensive side of the ball. Tony Poljan stands in at six-foot-seven and would tower over his teammates much like Parham does.
The intrigue of Poljan runs deeper than just his height, though. Poljan is a converted quarterback at the tight end position and while that may not seem like a good thing, he has turned into a really good blocking tight end that could help provide a better blocking presence with Virgil Green likely out of LA.

Poljan would be a work in progress and would take some time and NFL coaching to develop into a true weapon in the offense, but his capabilities as a blocker in heavy sets is really intriguing. Not only that, but the Chargers could get really creative with two extremely tall tight ends in goal-line situations.
Poljan ranks 260th in The Draft Network’s 2021 NFL Draft prospect rankings, so he should be available for the Chargers to pick in the seventh round.
