3. The LA Chargers have a good kicker to target in the 2021 NFL Draft

It would not make sense for the LA Chargers to draft a kicker in the 2021 NFL Draft if there was not a great kicker to target. Luckily, there is someone who Charger fans could get very excited about in the draft in Jose Borregales.

Now, there is a chance that Borregales is picked earlier in the draft, and if so, it would probably kill the chances of the team taking a kicker. The Chargers should not reach for Borregales and should, at most, pick him in the sixth round.

There is a good chance that he falls with the reduced college football season and not as many NFL teams that are in desperate need of a kicker.

Borregales was lights out for Miami in 2020. He made 20 of his 22 attempts (91.9%) and did not miss a single extra-point, making all 37 that he attempted.

Even better, Borregales has a cannon of a leg. He made a 57-yarder for Miami this season and was 2-2 from 50+. He did not miss a single kick under 40 yards, either, with both of his misses coming from 40-49 yards.

Borregales missed a 43-yarder against Duke with the only other miss of the season being a blocked field goal. He had one true miss in 59 kicks.

That 57-yarder would’ve been good from at least 60 yards as well… just saying.
