Justin Herbert had many fantastic games in his rookie season for the LA Chargers, but which were the best?

Justin Herbert was the one saving grace of the 2020 season for the LA Chargers. The 7-9 record does not do justice to how disappointing this season was for the Bolts, with Herbert being the one thing that kept fans tuning in every single week.

Herbert is fresh off of arguably the greatest rookie season by a quarterback in NFL history and should be the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year, even if there is a case to be made for Justin Jefferson.

Justin Herbert had plenty of fantastic games in his rookie season and very few duds. With year one officially in the books, we decided to rank all 15 of Justin Herbert’s starts in 2020.

15. Week 13 vs. New England Patriots

This was an ugly game not just for Justin Herbert but for the entire team. You may have wiped it from your memory, but the Bolts lost this game 45-0 in what was the worst shutout loss in franchise history.

The coaching disparity between the Chargers and Patriots was very obvious in this one. These two teams were very similar talent-wise, if not skewed towards the Bolts.

The Chargers were exposed on all three facets of the game and we cannot sit here and pretend like Justin Herbert did anything to really help the team. He completed 26 of 53 passes for 209 yards with two picks. He should’ve been taken out to protect from injury.
