LA Chargers vs. Denver Broncos prediction
The Broncos took the first meeting between these two teams back in Week 8, winning 31-30. K.J. Hamler caught the game-winning touchdown from Drew Lock as time expired. The Chargers blew a 21-point lead in this game and made Drew Lock look like a Pro Bowl-caliber player.
Both teams had high hopes coming into this season but have underperformed. The Chargers issues mainly come from special teams and coaching while the Broncos is a mix of injuries and poor quarterback play.
Both teams are playing for bragging rights in this matchup as each team has been eliminated from playoff contention, with the loser likely finishing last in the division.
While the Chargers have been playing very sloppy the entire season, they have picked up back to back wins and have a good chance to make it their third straight this week.
The Chargers are the more talented team and should be able to come away with the victory but Anthony Lynn’s decision-making and the special teams’ miscues could cost them yet again.
With Keenan Allen and Mike Williams getting a little bit of extra rest after being limited against the Raiders on Thursday Night Football, we could see Herbert flourish again and put an end to the Rookie of the Year debate.
Herbert and the offense continues to play well and they pick up their third straight victory in this AFC West matchup.
