2. The Cowboys need to play spoiler to the Eagles/Giants in Week 16 or 17

We are already assuming under this situation that the Dallas Cowboys are going to lose to the Bengals. The team still needs to win another game to ensure that the Chargers get the third pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Now, there is the chance of finishing with the same record as the Cowboys and the Chargers getting a higher pick. The Chargers would have to have a lower strength of schedule, which is possible depending on how the last few weeks shake out.

Right now it is close but based on who the Chargers play and their division and who Dallas plays and their division, I would not bank on that.

Thus, the Bolts need the Cowboys to play spoiler in the last two weeks of the season. It does not have to be both weeks, but Dallas has two winnable games in Week 16 and 17 against the Eagles and Giants.

Both the Eagles and the Giants are going to be in the hunt for the terrible NFC East crown and the Cowboys should want to play spoiler against two of their biggest rivals.

Dallas certainly can beat the Giants and Eagles with Andy Dalton at quarterback, but outside of that Cincy game, I do not love their chances in any other contest. They play the Ravens and 49ers as well, both of which are better football teams and far better coached.
