The LA Chargers have had a disappointing season with some disappointing players.

The LA Chargers are 3-7 through 10 games this season and that is with the team getting a record-setting rookie season out of Justin Herbert. If you would have told us before the year that Herbert would play like this then every Charger fan would expect the team to be at least 7-3 at this point.

The most disappointing part of this season has been the coaching, which is definitely responsible for some of these losses and the trend of losing close games. However, the players deserve blame as well and there have definitely been some disappointing seasons thus far.

It seems fitting to name the four most disappointing Chargers through 10 games, although we are staying away from injury disappointments. So players like Trai Turner and Bryan Bulaga are off the hook as neither player has really played much this season.

Here are the most disappointing.

Nasir Adderley

This is essentially serving as Nasir Adderley’s rookie season as the safety battled injuries in his rookie season and only played four games. In those four games, Adderley played a grand total of 10 defensive snaps.

There was a lot of potential surrounding Adderley when the Chargers selected him in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft and we were hoping to see some of that potential realized as he was forced to step up this year and play a big role in the defense.

That ball-hawking potential has not been realized. Adderley has blown coverage more than he has made great plays on the ball and he truly has been one of the worst safeties in the league this season.

He is young and Derwin James being healthy next year will make his life easier but this season he has still been a fairly big disappointment.
