LA Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn is definitively on the hot seat — should Tom Telesco be as well?

The 2020 season for the LA Chargers has been extremely disappointing. At the time of writing this, the Chargers are 2-7 on the season and their two wins are against the two-win Cincinnati Bengals (where they were bailed out by Reggie Bullock) and the one-win Jacksonville Jaguars.

They have been in close games, sure, but that does not matter if you do not win them. If Bullock makes that chip shot in Week 1 we absolutely could be looking at a 1-8 Chargers team. Yikes.

This is even more disappointing considering the fact that the team lucked out and got a record-setting start for Justin Herbert. Herbert was forced into starting far sooner than Anthony Lynn seemingly wanted him to be and he has been elite.

Just imagine how bad this season would be if Herbert was not given the chance to start yet. The record would probably be similar but there would be no hope, nothing positive to watch.

Anthony Lynn (and staff) have been really poor this season and most Charger fans are hoping for a chance of pace at head coach after this season. It feels like that should be a guarantee, but you never know.

But what about general manager Tom Telesco? Telesco is in charge of this operation, after all, and he should get some of the blame. But how much blame? Should he be on the hot seat? Here are two reasons why Telesco may also be on the hot seat this offseason as well.
