Prediction

This is a game that the LA Chargers should absolutely win. Just like the Jaguars game earlier this season, the Chargers are the superior team. While they have struggled tremendously and are coming off of their worst performance of the year, the Chargers are the better team and should pick up their third win.

This is a great spot to bounce back following a poor team performance. The Jets are one of the worst teams in the league. They have the worst offense as they have the least amount of yards and points per game. Their defense is not much better as they rank inside the bottom five in those same categories.

After an unusual offensive game plan last week against the Dolphins, I fully expect the Chargers to go back to the air. The Jets’ pass defense is among the worst in the NFL. We should see Herbert and the receivers more involved in this matchup.

Keenan Allen and Mike Williams combined for five catches for 77 yards and a touchdown last time out, as Herbert completed just 20 passes for 187 yards.

While I am expecting the Chargers to put on one of their better performances of the season and bounce back from last week, you can never be too sure with this team. The Chargers lost in 2016 against the 0-14 Cleveland Browns, so we have seen this happen before.

The season seems to be over for the Chargers at this point. The best thing we can hope for is to see more progress from young players like Herbert. Regardless of the outcome of this game, the Jets will likely be picking inside the top three in the draft with the Chargers not far behind them.
