New York Jets’ Recent Performances

The Jets come into this matchup with a record of 0-9 and would have the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft as of now.

In Week 6, the Jets took on the Dolphins where they were shutout 24-0. The Dolphins’ defense sacked Joe Flacco three times and recorded an interception as their defense was able to win them this game with ease.

The Bills defeated the Jets in Week 7 by a score of 18-10. While the Bills’ offense was able to gain over 400 total yards on the day, they could not find their way into the endzone. Rookie kicker Tyler Bass added all 18 points for the Bills as he was 6-8 on field goal attempts. The Bills’ defense was able to bring down Sam Darnold six times and forced him to throw two interceptions.

The Chiefs dominated the Jets in Week 8 as they came away with a 35-9 victory. Patrick Mahomes threw for over 400 yards and five touchdowns while Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman all added at least 90 yards and a touchdown. The Jets’ offense could not get anything going as they tallied just 221 total yards and were 2-12 on third down.

The Jets continued their losing streak in Week 9 against the Patriots. While Joe Flacco threw for three touchdowns with Breshad Perriman being on the receiving end of two of them, the Jets allowed Cam Newton and the Patriots to gain 433 yards on offense.

The Jets had a 10-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. Cam Newton ran for a one-yard touchdown while Nick Folk made two field goals, including the game-winner.
