Justin Herbert and the LA Chargers will take on Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins in Week 10.

The LA Chargers continue to find new ways to lose. In a back and forth game against the Raiders in Week 9, Justin Herbert found himself leading a potential game-winning drive. The Chargers were able to drive down the field. Herbert found Mike Williams wide open after a blown coverage which put the Chargers at the Raiders’ four-yard line with six seconds remaining.

Herbert threw a fade to the back corner of the endzone to Williams but he couldn’t complete the catch and got injured in the process.

With one second left, the Chargers lined up as if they were going to through a screen to Keenan Allen on the left side, but they opted to throw another fade, this time to Donald Parham in the same spot.

After initially being ruled a touchdown, it was overturned and the Chargers lost yet another heartbreaker, moving them to 2-6 at the halfway point.

Herbert played incredible again but the Chargers defense could not stop the Raiders’ run game until it was too late. Devontae Booker and Josh Jacobs ran all over the Chargers defense as the Raiders totaled 160 yards on the ground. Derek Carr only completed 13 passes as the Raiders took the first meeting between these two this year.

This week we have a matchup between the fifth and sixth picks in the draft, Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert. Tagovailoa is now 2-0 as the Dolphins’ starting quarterback while Herbert is 1-6 for the Chargers. While this isn’t a Prime Time game, this highly anticipated matchup will feature two of the league’s best young quarterbacks.

Last Five Matchups

The Dolphins have taken three out of the last five matchups against the Chargers. Their last meeting came in the 2019 season where the Chargers defeated the Dolphins 30-10.

Philip Rivers torched the Dolphins defense, throwing for 310 yards on 24 attempts with two touchdowns. The Chargers defense held Josh Rosen and the Dolphins to 233 yards and 10 points while sacking Rosen five times.
