LA Chargers vs. Denver Broncos prediction

As of now, the LA Chargers are the better team. Justin Herbert has been playing like a top 10 quarterback in the league and the defense has shown flashes of dominance. While they did give up 29 points last week, they were able to generate over 30 pressures on Gardner Minshew which resulted in five sacks.

Without Cortland Sutton and potentially Phillip Lindsay, Lock and the offense will have to rely on Melvin Gordon and their young receivers to produce. It hasn’t been pretty for the Broncos offense but the talent is there.

The Broncos defense has 18 sacks on the year, but their offensive line has also allowed 18 sacks. The return of Melvin Ingram this past week was much needed and with him back in the lineup, the Chargers defense can generate a ton of pressure on Drew Lock in this matchup.

The Chargers pass rush was great against the Jaguars. Now that they are at full strength, they face a team that has given up plenty of sacks and turnovers.

The Chargers offense has been one of the league’s best in terms of yards per game since Herbert took over in Week 2. The defenses are pretty even but with how Herbert has played against some great pass rushes like the Buccaneers and Saints, the Chargers get the edge in this matchup.

Next. Most overrated Chargers on the roster

Like how most of the Chargers and Broncos meetings go, we can expect a close game in this one. The Chargers get the slight edge due to the way their offense has been playing. The Chargers pick up their third win of the season and moving them one game closer to .500.
