Week 8: LA Chargers defeat Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are one of the few teams in the league that has had just as bad injury luck as the LA Chargers and they have had a huge fall from grace. Personally, I thought the Broncos were going to be the breakout team in the AFC to watch for and boy, I was wrong.

With Herbert under center and the Broncos’ defense in tattered pieces, I cannot see how the Chargers lose this game. While Drew Lock is solid, both losses to the Broncos last season came in low-scoring games and Herbert has the firepower to score too many points for the Broncos to overcome.

The Chargers are on the road, sure, but I still like their chances against Denver and think the team will move their record to a much more respectable 3-4.

Week 9: LA Chargers lose to the Las Vegas Raiders

Yeah. I know. The worst thing to see is the Chargers losing to the Raiders but at this point in the season the Chargers will still be missing some key pieces and I think the Raiders capitalize.

The Chargers can actually learn a thing or two from the Las Vegas Raiders, primarily how they are coached and the decisions that Jon Gruden makes in key moments of the game.

The two teams are actually very similar in talent-level (they rank next to each other in DVOA this season) and with the injuries and the coaching advantage, I think the Raiders walk away with a win in a close game.
