The LA Chargers are getting their bye week earlier than expected.

The LA Chargers had their schedule moved around by the NFL due to the rescheduling that was needed with multiple teams having positive coronavirus cases. Now, instead of having the bye week in Week 10, the Chargers have it in Week 6.

There are pros and cons to the Chargers having the bye week this early. In the short-term, it allows the team to get healthier. In the long-term, the Chargers now have to play 11 straight games without a break to end the season.

The Bolts have gotten through their toughest stretch of the season, however, so perhaps things can turnaround with a much-needed reset in the bye week. With that in mind, and everything that we have learned about the Chargers in five games, I thought I would take a crack at predicting the rest of the season for the Bolts.

Week 7: LA Chargers defeat Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars started the season with a huge win over the Indianapolis Colts that had many questioning whether or not the team was actually going to tank for Trevor Lawrence. They have lost every game since then.

While Gardner Minshew is fun, the Jaguars need a quarterback more than any other of the bottom teams in the league and gain more from losing games than they do from winning games. They are not a great football team and with an extra week of preperation, Justin Herbert should get the first win of his career in his first truly easy matchup.
